The Center for Entrepreneurship and Executive Development (CEED) Global was founded in 2006 as the technical assistance arm of Small Enterprise Assistance Funds (SEAF)
It is an Entrepreneur-Led Development Organization that was created to meet the complex challenges entrepreneurs face in the effective management and growth of their businesses.
Founded in 1989 in Washington DC, SEAF provides growth capital and operational support to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in emerging markets to build climate resilience, food security and inclusion.
SEAF specializes in the sponsorship and management of investment funds that target growth-oriented, emerging enterprises located in countries underserved by traditional sources of income.
SEAF found that entrepreneurs needed further resources beyond technical assistance to successfully navigate rapid business growth, assess new markets, and gain access to capital. It recognized that for entrepreneurs to truly prosper they needed training, peer support, and mentorship within close-knit networks of other entrepreneurs who had experience entering regional and international markets and bringing their businesses to scale.
It is against this background that CEED was birthed to address these challenges by enlisting successful entrepreneurs to mentor those looking to grow their businesses.
